Red Hill · Red Hill South · Arthurs Seat

Feral control Red Hill.

Red Hill's vineyards and apple orchards sit under Arthurs Seat and the Mornington Peninsula National Park, which is where the deer and foxes come from.

Deer and rabbits in the vines

Fallow and hog deer are the main problem around Red Hill: broken trellis, stripped shoots in spring and trampled netting. Dawn and dusk sessions along the bush boundary are the most effective, and most growers combine them with a monthly program through budburst.

Rabbits on the volcanic soils here are fewer than on the sandy southern Peninsula but hit young vines hard. We log warrens along fence lines and dam banks for the vineyard crew.

Red Hill properties are often small, steep and close to neighbours, so every job is planned at a daytime assessment with firing lanes and backstops mapped before we return at night.

What we control

Five pests. One phone call.

No baits, no poisons, no risk to your dogs or stock. Every animal is identified through a thermal scope before a shot is taken.

Foxes

Night thermal sessions timed around lambing, kidding and poultry losses. Dens located and mapped for follow-up visits.

Spring & autumn peak

Rabbits

Small-calibre work around warrens, dams and vineyard rows. Warren locations logged so you can rip or fumigate later.

Year-round

Deer

Fallow, red and hog deer damaging fences, vines and pasture. Carcasses removed or dressed on site where you want the meat.

Game Licence held

Feral cats

Positive ID only. Collared, ear-tagged or neighbouring pets are never targeted, and we work with the Shire's cat rules.

Bush-edge properties

Rats

Shooting around stables, hay sheds, chook pens and feed rooms where baits are a danger to dogs, horses and owls.

Bait-free

Where we work
