Pest & vermin shooting
A licensed, insured shooter for the Mornington Peninsula's feral animals. Not a termite-and-spray pest control company — proper thermal-scoped shooting that clears the foxes, rabbits, deer, cats and rats actually doing the damage.
Pest & vermin shooting
If you have searched for a "pest control" company and ended up with someone who sprays for ants and inspects for termites, you have the wrong trade. What takes lambs, ring-barks your vines, floods a shed with rats or strips a paddock of pasture is an animal — a fox, a rabbit, a deer, a feral cat or a rat — and the fix is to remove that animal, not to spray a skirting board.
We are licensed firearms shooters who do nothing but feral and vermin control on the Mornington Peninsula. Every job is worked with thermal optics so the target is identified before a shot is taken, with a clear backstop, and no baits or poisons left in the paddock. We hold the Victorian Category A/B firearms licence, a Game Licence for deer, public liability insurance, and the Victoria Police Public Place Permit that lets us work blocks close to houses and roads.
The quarry: foxes around lambing and poultry, rabbits ring-barking vines and undermining dams, fallow and red deer out of the bush, feral cats on bush-edge blocks, and rats in stables, feed rooms and chook pens. Pick your animal from the menu, or just text us what you are losing and we will tell you how we would handle it.
First night on any property is free, so you can see the tally before you pay for anything, and we cover the whole Peninsula from Frankston South to Portsea with no travel charge.
Common questions
No. We are licensed firearms shooters for feral and vermin animals — foxes, rabbits, deer, feral cats and rats. For termites, ants, cockroaches or spiders you want a chemical pest control company, which is a different trade. What we do is remove the actual animals with thermal-scoped shooting, with no baits or sprays.
Yes. We hold a Victorian Category A/B firearms licence endorsed for vermin and feral animal control, a Game Licence for deer, public liability insurance, and a Victoria Police Public Place Permit for blocks close to houses and roads. The landholder authority paperwork is handled for you and the local police station is notified before each session.
Foxes, rabbits, deer (fallow, red and hog), feral cats and rats. If it is a feral or pest animal doing damage on the Peninsula, it is what we do; if it is an insect or a termite, it is not.
What we shoot
No baits, no poisons, no risk to your dogs or stock. Every animal is identified through a thermal scope before a shot is taken.
Night thermal sessions timed around lambing, kidding and poultry losses, with a follow-up visit where numbers need it.
Spring & autumn peakSmall-calibre work around warrens, dams and vineyard rows. We knock numbers down so ripping or fumigation can finish the job.
Year-roundFallow, red and hog deer damaging fences, vines and pasture. Carcasses removed or dressed on site where you want the meat.
Game Licence heldPositive ID only. Collared, ear-tagged or neighbouring pets are never targeted, and we work with the Shire's cat rules.
Bush-edge propertiesShooting around stables, hay sheds, chook pens and feed rooms where baits are a danger to dogs, horses and owls.
Bait-freeWho we work for
Most of our work is for commercial and agricultural operations that lose stock, pasture and produce to feral animals. We run scheduled programs sized to the property, not one-off callouts.
Deer and rabbits stripping shoots and ring-barking young vines. Monthly programs from budburst, worked around cellar-door hours and harvest.
Vineyard controlFox predation on lambs and calves, rabbits in pasture and fodder crops, deer through fences. Per-hectare and per-program rates for working farms.
Commercial farmsRabbits and deer on young trees, seedlings and turf. Bait-free around produce, timed around picking and planting.
Orchards & gardensFoxes around foaling paddocks and rats in feed rooms, all bait-free so your horses, dogs and owls stay safe.
Horse propertiesSmall blocks near town where most shooters can't legally work. We hold the Public Place Permit that makes it possible.
Hobby farmsFox and feral cat control on private land bordering reserves, protecting hooded plovers, bandicoots and native wildlife.
Conservation workWhere we work
From Mount Eliza to Portsea and across to Westernport. Night sessions are usually booked within a week of your assessment, and properties close to townships are handled under our Public Place Permit with local police notified before every job.
How it works
Free daytime visit. We walk the boundaries, find sign, map safe firing lanes and neighbours, and agree a plan with you.
Landholder authority signed and police notified. You don't chase anything.
Thermal optics, typically 4 hours from dusk. Every shot taken with a clear backstop and positive identification of the target.
We tell you how many were taken and whether a repeat visit is worth it, timed to when it will have the most effect.
Who you're dealing with
One licensed operator, not a franchise. You deal with the person who turns up, and the same person every visit.
